Following research 8 month research projects Roxane Jourdain and Supinya (Ploy) Howell were both awarded Merit classifications for their MRes degrees.
Ploy Howell obtains a 'Merit' grade for her MRes in Plant Chemical Biology for which she carried out a research project entitled: "Identifying Kluveromyces Lactis protein targets for fungicides using 'pull-down' probes". She is currently looking to start a PhD in 2014.
Roxane Jourdain also obtains a 'Merit' grade for her MRes in Drug Discovery and Development for which she caried out a research project entitled "Towards novel peptide inhibitors for the treatment of prostate cancer". She is now scheduled to work for a year as a research intern at Novartis in Basel.
