John Pendry awarded Julius Springer Prize for Applied Physics 2013
Recognised for innovative contributions to optical metamaterials.
This year’s Julius Springer Prize for Applied Physics will be awarded to Sir John Pendry for his revolutionary work on metamaterials which has opened the doors to new ways to control and manipulate light down to subwavelength scales. The award, accompanied by USD 5,000, will be presented on 18 October 2013 at the Magnus Haus of the German Physical Society in Berlin, Germany.
