To understand more about the role you play in the publishing process the Library is running a workshop on Monday 4 November 13.30 - 16.30.
The Library is keen to understand more about the role you play in the publishing process, in order to develop some tailored support so that you can answer the questions we know you will be getting from your PIs, PhDs and everyone in between.
We are running a workshop to explore your understanding of open access publishing, and what you’d like to know about publishing more generally. On the basis of this session, we’ll develop a tailored toolkit for postdocs specifically about open access publishing. We’d also like to explore the possibility of an event, or series of events, that would bring you into contact with publishers and other people involved in cutting edge developments in scholarly communications.
We think it’ll be an interesting chance for you to talk to some postdocs outside your own lab or department, and to help shape a long-term resource for postdocs at Imperial.
We’re planning on holding the event on Monday 4 November, 13.30-16.30 (including lunch and refreshments) at 58 Prince’s Gate on the South Kensington campus.
