Map of the world

Your career on a global scale...

A unique event bringing together 16 international organisations to offer you an insight into what they do, how they recruit, and what they look for.

The event is open to current postgraduate Masters and PhD students only.

Each organisations will give a presentation followed by Q&A, as well as being available to answer questions throughout the day at their own stands. IOD is an unparalleled opportunity to find out whether a career within an international organisation is right for you.

Speakers will cover:

  • the role played by their international organisation
  • the kinds of work performed by their staff (and generally what it is like to be a staff member there)
  • the education and work experience that these employers are looking for
  • the employment opportunities that they offer

What organisations will be there?

  • Asian Development Bank
  • EU Careers/EPSO
  • International Committee of the Red Cross
  • International Finance Corporation
  • International Monetary Fund
  • International Organisation for Migration
  • Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector
  • UNICEF
  • UN Secretariat
  • UN Population Fund
  • UN Development Programme

What you can expect from the event?

The main purpose of the event is for the international organisations to describe the role that they play, the kind of jobs they can offer, and the qualifications and experience you will need to gain to land a position on their professional staff. There will also be opportunities for you to pose questions to their representatives both in the presentations and individually at the organisations’ stands.
