Scott Le Vine of Imperial’s Centre for Transport Studies commented on the growing trend of major carmakers and car-rental companies investing in urban-mobility ventures: "They don’t want to be Kodak...they want to be in these spaces as soon as practical...[it is] more lucrative to sell everyone cars, but they don’t want to be left behind when the market shifts."
