How you can use your PhD in industry

The forum will include presentations and Q&A from 6 leading companies.

The PhD Careers Forum will be running on 21 January 2016 from 18.30 to 21.00, in G34 in the Sir Alexander Fleming Building.

The PhD Careers Forum provides a great opportunity to get an overview of a variety of roles in a diverse spread of sectors outside of academia. This event is specifically aimed at PhD students and postdoctoral research staff from all disciplines and all year groups at Imperial College. There are 6 leading companies taking part and you will be able to hear first-hand from a panel of senior managers and professionals from a variety of industry sectors - some of whom are Imperial alumni - about their own personal career choices and development.

The companies attending are to include:

  • Cambridge Consultants
  • GlaxoSmithKline (GSK)
  • Hilti
  • Marks & Clerk
  • Tessella
  • Winton Capital

The evening will start with a presentation from each of the 6 members of the panel and finish with a questions & answers session. This will then be followed by refreshments and a chance for you to talk to the speakers and other members from each of organisation. This is an ideal opportunity to use the time for some important informal networking.

Students can register to attend via JobsLive.
