Imperial's final year undergraduates are invited to share their views in the National Student Survey 2014.

The annual National Student Survey (NSS) is now open, with undergraduates in their final year being asked to rate a range of elements related to their student experience here at the College. The nationwide survey seeks student views on a range of topics, from academic support and learning resources to assessment and feedback.

Professor Debra Humphris, the College’s Vice-Provost (Education) said: “Our final year students really are experts in the student experience here at Imperial. We want to encourage them to share their views and ideas to leave a lasting contribution to their College. The information they provide via the NSS is feedback we take very seriously. It will inform our work through the Education and Student Strategy and help us identify changes that will benefit students in the future.”

The survey’s results are made available later this year. Previous NSS data has helped inform key education-focused developments, including the creation of Imperial Horizons to expanding students’ personal and career as well as the introduction of action plans by departments, examining how they can enhance the education they offer.

Imperial College Union also produces a formal response to the survey’s results, to help the College and Union work together on improvements.

Nat Kempston, the Union’s Deputy President (Education) said: “We want to hear from as many as students as possible and I’d encourage people to use the free text boxes to provide more details on their experiences. The more final year students who participate, and the more information they give, the more reliable and useful the survey will be, to both the Union and the College.”
