The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) is funding the short-term fellowships providing opportunities for pre/postdoctoral researchers to conduct cooperative research with leading research groups in universities and other Japanese institutions.
What is the JSPS Pre/Postdoctoral Fellowship?
The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) is the leading research funding agency in Japan, established by the Japanese Government for the purpose of contributing to the advancement of science.
JSPS Pre/Postdoctoral Fellowships provide the opportunity for researchers based outside of Japan to conduct collaborative research activities with leading research groups at Japanese Universities and Research Institutions for single visits of 1-12 months.
Are You Eligible?
Eligible applicants need to be nationals of an EU member (plus Switzerland and Norway), USA or Canada. Successful applicants will be asked to start their awards in Japan between 1 November 2014 and 31 March 2015.
Fields of Research: All fields of the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences are included under the programme.
