On behalf of the Fellowship, Prof. Jim Skea was called to submit oral evidence to the ECC Select Committee's session on low carbon innovation.
In late 2013 the Fellowship submitted written evidence to the Energy and Climate Change Select Committee's inquiry into low carbon energy innovation in the UK. In particular, the committee wanted to explore whether the UK was achieving value for money from public funds towards to the UK’s legally binding targets.
On the basis of this evidence, Prof. Jim Skea was called to submit oral evidence at the committee's first evidence session on 14th January, along with other experts in the field of energy innovation. Prof. Skea drew upon many of the key findings from the Fellowship's energy research and training Prospectus that were especially relevant to the committee's inquiry.
