Microgravity and Hypergravity experiment opportunities for students
The European Space Agency (ESA) presents its Spin Your Thesis! and Drop Your Thesis! programmes.
Spin Your Thesis!
This programme gives university students and PhDs the opportunity to perform scientific or technological research in hypergravity conditions.
The chosen teams for the Spin Your Thesis! programme will spend one week at ESA’s Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) in Noordwijk, the Netherlands, conducting their hypergravity experiments on the Large Diameter Centrifuge (LDC).
Drop Your Thesis!
This programme gives university students, from Bachelor’s to PhD level, the opportunity to perform scientific or technological research in microgravity conditions.
The chosen team for the Drop Your Thesis! programme will spend two weeks at the Center of Applied Space Technology and Microgravity in Bremen, Germany, launching their microgravity experiment in the ZARM drop tower.
Deadline for applications is 3 March 2014.
