Imperial community takes part in 2014 Staff Survey

Over 2,500 staff have had their say in the Staff Survey, with a deadline extension to 26 February to ensure everyone has the chance to share views.

The Business School has had the highest participation rates so far, with nearly 65% of staff having completed the Survey.

All Imperial staff have received an email with an individual link to take part in the Survey, which is divided into five areas of staff experiences: working life, development and progression opportunities, communications, safety in the workplace and equality.

Responses will analysed by an independent research company and will not be seen by any members of the College.

Inviting all staff to take part Imperial’s Provost Professor James Stirling said: “To continue to attract the best people from around the world to join Imperial, we need to maintain a vibrant and inspiring workplace and support all our staff to fulfil their potential. Your opinions on the College as an employer matter a great deal and I assure you that they will be considered carefully.”

The last Staff Survey, which took place in 2011, resulted in a number of changes at the College, including increased provision for disability support, funding for childcare for under-fives, the development of new training and the formation of the Support Services Social Committee.

As an incentive, Imperial will give £1 to the Student Hardship Fund for every survey completed. The donation will increase to £1.50 per survey if a return rate of 65% is exceeded.
