Autocar-Courland Next Generation Award
Come up with an idea that you believe will be of benefit to the UK automotive industry and you could win 7500 plus five month's work experience.
The Autocar-Courland Next Generation Award is a national student competition to identify, support and develop top automotive talent of the future. Students from UK Universities are invited to answer a brief set by Autocar's editor-in-chief, Steve Cropley.
How does it work?
You are invited to come up with an idea that you believe will provide a worthwhile benefit to the UK automotive business. A team of industry judges will assess your idea based on innovation, communication and strategy.
Why should I enter?
Participating in the Award opens doors for launching your career in the automotive industry. Recent finalists have gone on to work for Aston Martin, JCB and McLaren, and last year's winner has undertaken an internship with a range of automotive employers sponsoring the Award.
What could I win?
This year’s prize is £7500 and a five-month internship shared between competition sponsors Jaguar Land Rover, McLaren, Peugeot, Skoda and Toyota.
History of the Award
The Autocar-Courland Next Generation Award was launched in 2009 by Autocar in partnership with Courland International and the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, and was created to highlight the ingenuity, potential and sheer brainpower of UK-based students. Five years on, it's now widely regarded as the leading competition of its type.
