The visit formed part of the UK tour whereby the theme of the tour was 'The diversity of energy efficiency techniques for green buildings' and consisted of a seven day visit to universities, industry and green building sites. The aim of the tour was for the students to learn more about energy efficient techniques in UK. The students were very keen in particular to meet with Professor Fisk, Dr James Keirstead and Ms Sarah Noye as they were aware of the Centre's work regarding building performance optimisation.

Associate Professor Ir Dr Eric Wai Ming Lee also provided the Centre with an opportunity to learn from colleagues in Hong Kong when he presented on 'Ahead prediction of building cooling load by a fully autonomous kernel machine'.
