Dr Ben Britton & Prof Natalie Stingelin win IOM3 Awards; Prof Molly Stevens awarded Corday-Morgan Prize; Dr Kristina Kareh wins the Best Poster Award
Dr Kristina Kareh (PDRA) won the Best Poster Award at the “EPSRC UK Solidification Workshop” at Brunel University on 9th April 2014. Kristina is supervised by Dr Christopher Gourlay.
Dr Ben Britton was been awarded the IOM3 Silver Medal 2014. This prize is awarded to a member, under the age of 30, in recognition of an outstanding contribution to the broad field of materials science, engineering and technology, including promotion of their subject on a national or international basis.
Professor Natalie Stingelin was been awarded the IOM3 Rosenhain Medal and Prize 2014, awarded to candidates under the age of 40 for distinguished achievement in any branch of materials science.
Professor Molly Stevens was awarded the Corday-Morgan Prize 2014 by the Royal Society of Chemistry. The Corday-Morgan Prizes are awarded for the most meritorious contributions to chemistry. In addition, Molly was listed in Cell's 'Top 40 under 40' list (http://www.cell.com/40/home) and featured in an article entitled: 'Bioactive materials could rebuild your body one day' in Wired (29 April, 2014).
