Academic Venues Impress
50+ academic venues gathered to exhibit at the annual Academic Venue Show on Wednesday 14 May to showcase meeting and group accommodation facilities
The Imperial events and accommodation teams joined forces to exhibit at the Academic Venuw Show on Wednesday 14 May at the ILEC Conference Centre in London's Earl's Court.
This unique showcase of over 50 academic venues from across the UK is an opportunity for event bookers to discover the vast range of meeting and group accommodation facilities provided by universities. Often not the first choice for some event bookers, academic venues can offer a welcome change from traditional conference centre or hotel venues.
Over 90 per cent of visitors rated their experience at the Show as 'excellent or good' and over 60 per cent said they would definitely por probably use one of the exhibiting academic venues within the next twelve months.
As well as the opportunity to meet so many great-value meeting and conference venues, this year's Show also featured two inspirational seminars. Internet marketing specialist and Sunday Times contributor Susan Hallam presented "Unlocking 10 Ways to Promote Your Event on the Internet" whilst Paralympian and broadcaster Ade Adepitan spoke to visitors about how to meet event-organising challenges head-on using techniques from performance sport.
Kirsten Kruls, Business Development Executive at Imperial said "This is a very targeted show which attracts visitors specifically looking for academic venues. One of the challenges academic venues face is convincing potential clients that universities are a viable option for their event so this show isn't one ot miss".
The team will next to exhibiting at the Meetings Show UK 2014 on 8 to 10 July at Olympia as part of the London and Partners stand.
