If you are an overseas student with a great business idea and about to finish your studies, why not consider becoming a Graduate Entrepreneur?

Students and post-doc researchers from overseas could qualify for a Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) Visa which allows those finishing their studies to stay in the UK make a business idea a reality.

“For MBA and other UK graduates who have been identified by Higher Education Institutions as having developed genuine and credible business ideas and entrepreneurial skills

on Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) Visas

The UK Government states that this Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) visa is “For MBA and other UK graduates who have been identified by Higher Education Institutions as having developed genuine and credible business ideas and entrepreneurial skills to extend their stay in the UK after graduation to establish one or more businesses in the UK.”

Imperial College has 20 such visas and applications for the visa can be made through the International Student Support in July and November each year. The application is judged by a panel of experts who will scrutinise the business idea and business plan to determine if the College will agree to endorse you for the visa.

If you have a business idea and would like to discuss the application process for the Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) Visa in more detail, contact International Student Support:
