Chemical Careers Events for Graduate Students
If you're an MSc or PhD student, BASF are running two careers events in the autumn term to allow you to discover more about the chemical industry.
BASF are running two career events - BASF Days China and OneDayWith BASF - for graduate students during November and December.
BASF Days China
Running from 10-12 November 2014, a selected 30 graduate students and post-docs from Europe will be invited to this event at BASF headquarters in Ludwigshafen. During the three days, students will get to learn about research activities and entry & career opportunities in the field of R&D as chemist or engineer, especially at BASF’s Chinese research centres.
An interesting mix of lectures, discussions and site visits await the students, as well as a variety of opportunities to talk to specialists and managers from this research area. The costs for accommodation and travelling (Equivalent to travelling by train 2nd class) will be re-imbursed by BASF.
Am I Eligible?
- Students should be either Asian nationality or have Asia as a specifically desired job location.
- Chemistry PhDs and Post-Docs with focus on Materials Science or Polymers and
Master’s and PhD students of chemical, process or mechanical engineering.
How Do I Apply?
Students can apply by sending a CV and motivational letter to franca.tiarks@basf.com until the deadline of October 10 2014. The selected participants will be informed shortly after the deadline and receive further information.
OneDayWith BASF
OneDayWith BASF is a virtual career event, taking place on December 3 2014. During the day, students will be able to learn more about the technology behind BASF products directly from the engineers and chemists working at their Innovation Campus in Shanghai. The event will also consist of online presentations and live chats by field experts.

- Chemistry PhDs and Post-Docs with focus on Materials Science or Polymers and Master’s and PhD students of chemical, process or mechanical engineering.
