The deadline is fast approaching for first year undergraduates to sign up to the College's Imperial Horizons programme.
Imperial Horizons is an eight week course designed to broaden the horizons of Imperial students by allowing them to study topics outside their main area of study.

The courses are designed to be taken alongside undergraduate programmes fitting flexibly around academic commitments whilst providing opportunities for students to learn new skills, broaden their education and inspire their creativity.
The programme offers over 60 different courses across four different fields of study: business and professional skills; languages and global citizenship; global challenges and science; and culture and society.
Yiyu Xiang is a third year biochemist who completed courses in mandarin and creative writing as part of the Imperial Horizons programme in the previous academic year: “I was really attracted to the creative writing course as it’s a hobby of mine and the course is led by a published author,” he said.
“Not only did I get to further develop my skills in creative writing but from the course a Writers’ Society has begun at the College and I’m looking forward to being involved with that this year.
“It was also a great chance to meet people with similar interests and to learn new skills outside my academic subject.”
The programme allows students to develop a range of Imperial graduate attributes to increase their employability and gain an edge in their future careers.

Elspeth Farrar, Director of the Careers Advisory Service, said: "Employers look for team players who understand the bigger picture. Imperial Horizons will help define you with a unique set of Imperial graduate attributes."
Enrolment for 1st year undergraduates closes on Monday 13 October and there are still some late enrolment places on some 2nd, 3rd and 4th year courses available.
You can also keep up to date with Imperial Horizons on Facebook and Twitter for more information on the courses on offer.
