Imperial College research on managing healthcare associated infection in hospitals has been published in The Lancet.

A team of researchers from the National Institute for Health Research Health Protection Research Unit (NIHR HPRU) in Healthcare Associated Infections and Antimicrobial Resistance at Imperial College London have had a study published in the prestigious medical journal, The Lancet.

The study, titled Hospital organisation, management, and structure for prevention of health-care-associated infection: a systematic review and expert consensus, is a systematic review to identify crucial elements for the organisation of effective infection-prevention programmes in hospitals and key components for implementation of monitoring. 

The NIHR HPRU in Healthcare Associated Infections and Antimicrobial Resistance conducts research aimed at understanding and addressing the complex and inter-related causes of healthcare associated infection.
