PhD Student Prize
Dr Chiara Bo, was awarded the AWE Thesis Prize as part of her studies she was based at CBIS who hosted HRH Prince Harry at the opening late last year.
Dr Chiara Bo, recent graduate of the ISP was awarded the AWE Thesis Prize for her work on 'Investigations of the effects of high pressure pulses on biological samples'. This prize is awarded annually for the best PhD in the field of high energy density, shock regimes and plasma physics.
As part of her studies she was based at the Centre for Blast Injury Studies (CBIS) in the Department of BioEngineering. CBIS is funded by The Royal British Legion and had the honour of hosting HRH Prince Harry at the opening late last year.
