CIPM/HPRU collaborator Esmita Charani to speak on changing prescribing behaviour at HIS conference 2014
Esmita Charani, Senior Lead Pharmacists at the Centre for Infection Prevention and Medicine and the National Institute for Health Research Health Protection Research Unit (NIHR HPRU) in Healthcare Associated Infections and Antimicrobial Resistance at Imperial College London will be speaking at the HIS 2014, the annual conference for the Healthcare Infection Society.
Esmita will be speaking on 'Bridging the gap in knowledge – Can education make a difference in changing antimicrobial prescribing behaviours?'
Esmita is undetaking research into behavioural change and the efficacy of social marketing information interventions as well as developing multidisciplinary training in Infection Prevention. She has a strong background in teaching and training healthcare professionals about infection control and antimicrobial resistance.
