The Careers Service has an array of resources available for disabled students, providing information on careers and the recruitment process.

At the Careers Service, we are committed to offering impartial and confidential careers advice to all students. We aim to ensure that all students have full access to our services and events. At the Service we have step free accessibility and are situated on the 5th floor of the Sherfield Building, near the lifts. Read on to find out about the different resources and events that the Careers Service offer.

Get That Job

‘Get That Job’ – a three part video produced by the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services (AGCAS), providing useful advice on recruitment for disabled applicants. You can watch all parts of the video online via the Careers Service’s Disabled Students page, or by clicking the relevant link below:

Disability Links

There is also a range of recommended websites on our Equality & Diversity in Recruitment page, including useful links for disabled students, and within our Student with Disabilities handout. We also have a list of helpful links on our Delicious account, and our own webpage on disclosure of a disability. Additionally, you can sign up via your profile in JobsLive for ‘Opportunity Update’ emails - providing weekly news and events specifically for students with disabilities.

On top of all this, we have a large variety of information sources in our Careers Information Room, including reference books, information on companies, ‘options with your subject’ folders and more!

Access to Employment

Access to Employment is an annual event, aimed at bringing together disabled students from Imperial College and LSE with recruiters.
