The CPE has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with RISE at the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology in Korea
A team from the Centre for Plastic Electronics (CPE) has recently visited the Research Institute for Solar and Sustainable Energies (RISE) at Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology in Gwangju, South Korea. Professors Donal Bradley and Martin Heeney and Drs Ji-Seon Kim and Paul Stavrinou met with GIST acting President Professor Kwan Lee and Dean of International and Public Affairs Professor Byeong Ha Lee to discuss opportunities for collaboration in research, student exchange and education. They also spoke at the RISE-CPE International Symposium on Plastic Electronics together with GIST Professors Dong-Yu Kim (Dean of Materials Science and Engineering), Kwanghee Lee (Director of RISE) Myung-Han Yoon and Sukwon Hong (both from the School of Materials Science and Engineering). Following further discussions on 12th December with Professor Kwanghee Lee and colleagues the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between CPE and RISE to initiate the collaboration. A reciprocal visit of RISE staff to London is planned for March 2015.
