by Jon Narcross

With turkey and mince pies but a distant Christmas memory, Imperial is marking the New Year's fresh start with Healthy Living week.

Healthy Living Week 2015 is the biggest held at the College so far and will see Sport Imperial’s Active Lifestyles Team running over 50 different free sessions throughout the week.

In addition to most of the regular group classes, there are new fitness sessions, seminars on nutrition and stress, fitness assessments, sports games and tournaments open to staff and students across the College.

Some of the highlights include:

  • Disco Spin My Ride – Monday 17,15 – 18.00, Energia Studio
  • Cotswolds Climbing Wall Exhibition - Tuesday 18.00 – 22.00, Ethos
  • Squash Tournament – Saturday 10.00 - 17.30, Ethos
  • Body Fat Assessment – Throughout the week, Energia Gym

Shannon Jewell, Sport Imperial’s Active Lifestyles Manager said “Healthy Living week is open to all staff and students - no matter what your sporting ability. If you’re looking at taking training to the next level or just starting out on your journey to better health and fitness we’ve got something for you.”

“There’s over 50 sessions across the week from weightlifting to yoga we have a team on hand throughout to give people help and guidance to achieve healthy living goals.”
