Towards changing healthcare workers' behaviour
A new article in the Journal of Hospital Infection looks at why healthcare workers don't comply with infection control measures.
The qualitative study by Alison Holmes, Enrique Castro-Sanchez, Nisha Shah and Esmita Charani appraises infection prevention and control measures to see why healthcare professionals do not always follow the guidance they are given.
This builds on previous work done by Enrique and Alison the impact that organisations can have on healthcare-associated infections and the importance of sustaining desired clinical behaviour and practices.
The study will be published in the next edition of the Journal of Hospital Infection.
