Lectureship Salary: £45,950 - £51,200 per annum

The three Faculties – Engineering, Natural Sciences and Medicine - together with the Business School explore the interface between science, medicine, engineering and management.
The Department of Computing is a leading department of Computer Science coming 13th in the world QS ratings. In REF 2014, the most recent assessment of UK research, both the College and the Department did extremely well, with the College being rated overall as the top multi-department university in the UK. The Department was rated as the top Computer Science department in both Research Environment and Research Intensity. The Department’s teaching is always rated in the top three in the newspaper and good university tables.
Research in the Department is clustered into the following themes: Distributed Software Engineering, Logic & Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Programming Languages & Systems, Quantitative Analysis and Decision Science, Security, and Visual Information Processing. Applications are invited for two permanent Lectureship positions in the Department of Computing in any of the above areas. Candidates are expected to have a proven international record relevant to the above areas and will be expected to play a full part in the teaching and administrative activities of the Department.
