Imperial Festival marches into action

The Band of The Household Cavalry opened the Festival

Mounted trumpeters and a drum horse from The Band of The Household Cavalry opened Imperial Festival.

Imperial Festival returns in style this weekend as the Household Cavalry signal the opening of the fourth annual event.

This year’s Festival is bigger than ever, with hands-on interactive exhibits for people of all ages, shapes and sizes, alongside two full days of behind-the-scenes facilities tours, music and dance performances and an entire weekend of alumni celebrations.

New to the event are the Superbug Zone and Brain Zone, while the continuing efforts to work with our neighbours included a science breakfast at Le Pain Quotidien, bubbles performances with a team from the Science Museum Outreach and Learning group, while the Festival opens with a rousing performance from The Band of The Household Cavalry.
