Congratulations to Dr Clemens Brechtelsbauer on being conferred the status of Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Dr Clemens Brechtelsbauer, Principal Teaching Fellow, in the Department of Chemical Engineering has been conferred the status of Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
This award recognises a sustained track record relating to teaching and learning, and leadership of teaching provision in higher education.
Since joining the Department in 2010 as Head of Teaching Laboratories and Pilot Plant, Dr Brechtelsbauer has transformed the undergraduate laboratory teaching, making use of his extensive industrial experience to create a new practical curriculum for undergraduates with some highly unique features, which have significantly raised the standards of teaching in the Department.
Dr Brechtelsbauer was also recently elected Best Lecturer by the Chemical Engineering Society.
Many congratulations to Dr Brechtelsbauer on receiving these awards which recognise his outstanding contributions to the Department.
