Chemical Engineering students awarded Old Centralians' Trust Student Activity Awards which recognise their engagement with extra-curricular activities

Congratulations to MEng undergraduates Xin Ying Phang and Zheng Gu on being awarded Old Centralians' Trust - Student Activity Awards.

These annual awards are made by the Old Centralians’ Trust on behalf of the City and Guilds College Association, and are aimed at encouraging undergraduate students in the pursuit of extra-curricular activity.

Applicants are requested to provide a brief statement as to why they feel they should qualify, based on their level of extra-curricular activity. This year the Trust received a number of excellent applications and awards were made across the Faculty of Engineering Departments.

She was the first student in the college to be awarded Imperial Plus Volunteer Accreditation in 2014-15 from the Union, by clocking over 100 hours spent volunteering with clubs and societies, and completing four volunteering assignments/modules within a term. Xin Phang is also an Imperial College Outreach mentor.
