Dr Mostowy was awarded a prestigious Lister Institute Research Prize to further his work on bacterial autophagy and the cytoskeleton in host defence.
The Lister Institute awards a handful of Research Prizes each year to outstanding young independent UK-based researchers in the biomedicine field. They are highly competitive one-off awards which help support and nurture future leaders of biomedical research.
Dr Mostowy was one of five Lister Prize winners.
