The Dyson School of Design Engineering at Imperial hosted visitors from Beihang University, China for a summer school on design thinking in engineering. The participants worked in teams tackling the challenge of whether a parcel delivery system using quadcopters could be made safe for people and also bird-friendly. Diverse solutions were prototyped and tested by the teams with a range of potential solutions to this multi-stakeholder challenge, impressing the panel at the final assessment.
