Paper Prizes for the Department

Congratulations go to some of our staff and students who have been awarded prizes for their papers over the summer.

Professor Richard Jardine was recently awarded the British Geotechnical Association's annual 'BGA Medal' at the European Conference of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineers, Dr Geoff Fowler, Dr Karl Smith and Professor Nigel Graham won the Judge's Prize for the best paper at SludgeTech 2015, PhD student, Miss Eleni Minga won the Young Researcher Best Paper Competition at the 15th International Conference on Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering Computing, and PhD student Ms Xi Liu won the Best Student Presentation prize at the 7th International Conference on Sustainable Development in Building and Environment.
