Winners of the Materials Design Early Stage Graduate Research Prize and the Prize for Outstanding Contribution to the Life of the TSM CDT.
- The Prize for Outstanding Contribution to the Life of the TSM CDT has been awarded toAeneas Wiener in recognition of his significant influence on the ethos of the CDT as the student representative for the first two years of the first cohort.
- The Materials Design Graduate Research Prize has been awarded to Richard Broadbent for his progress towards the multi-scale simulation of polymer membranes that spans first-principles electronic structure calculations, classical molecular dynamics and Monte Carlo simulations that Prof. Andrew Livingston, Head of the Department of Chemical Engineering, has described as breaking new ground in the science of polymer membranes. This prize is sponsored by Materials Design (www.materialsdesign.com).
