Prizes were won by TSM students at the annual event

TSM students triumphed at this year’s Postgraduate Physics ResearchSymposium. This annual event showcases the breadth of researchundertaken in the department of Physics at Imperial, with all 3rd year PhD students giving talks and all 2nd year PhD students presenting posters on their research. The event drew a large audience, including students, academics and people from industry.

This year Joe Fallon won the prize for best talk in his session, entitled "Accurate atomistic modelling of barium titanate", the judges praising both the scientific content and the effortless presentation. Additionally Anthony Lim’s poster, entitled “What excited electrons do”, wowed the judges, winning one of the poster prizes.
