Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering's MSc Scholarship Winners

This term, over a hundred new MSc students joined our Department. Amongst these students, two have come with very prestigious scholarships.

This term, over a hundred new MSc students joined the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Among these new students, two have come with very prestigious scholarships to allow them to study here.

Kamna Ashu is studying our Analogue and Digital Integrated Circuit Design MSc, and has received one of two Imperial College India Foundation Scholarships. This Scholarship is awarded to outstanding Indian students residing in India. The Scholarship is generously provided by the alumni and supporters of the Imperial College India Foundation.  Kamna studied for her Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication at Chandigarh Engineering College, India, and says about the Scholarship: 'It’s a matter of pride for me to be associated with Imperial College London. I feel really thankful to the College for having chosen me and making me part of its rich legacy. The Scholarship has opened the door for me to a world of opportunities. I will make the best of this opportunity.'

Taha Hamid, studying MSc Control Systems, comes to us with the Commonwealth Scholarship from the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC).  This is an international scholarship programme and awards academically bright citizens of developing Commonwealth countries with funding to undertake postgraduate study at UK universities. He studied Electrical Engineering at the National University of Science and Technology, Pakistan, and says: "the Scholarship was quite competitive, and so I feel very lucky and proud to have been selected. Doing a Masters at Imperial is like a dream come true and I will try my best to make the most of this opportunity."
