Alison Holmes spoke at the WISE conference 2015 to inspire girls and women to study and build careers using science, technology & maths (STEM).
At the recent annual WISE Conference 2015 (12 November), Professor Alison Holmes gave an inspiring speech focusing on her own distinguished career in Medicine and Infectious Diseases.
WISE is a campaign to promote girls and women to build careers using science, technology and maths (STEM). WISE advises organisations on how to create environments where those women can do their best work and thrive.
Professor Holmes shared her own personal experiences as well as speaking about her research in antimicrobial resistance which is identified by the World Helath Organisation (WHO) as one of the three principal threats to human health.
