EMBRACE pump-priming awards for multi-disciplinary Antimicrobial Resistance(AMR) collaborations.

EMBRACE (Engineering and Medicine Bridging Research in Antimicrobialresistance: Collaboration and Exchange) is a two-year EPSRC funded multi-disciplinary award, which aims tobridge the gap between Engineering, Natural Sciences and Physical Sciences for AMR Research.

The purpose of EMBRACE is to try and engage these disciplines in multi-disciplinary research which is important and relevant intackling the catastrophic threat that antimicrobial resistance (AMR) poses.

To facilitate this aim, we have pump priming funds available to enable PIs and other researchers to embark on new areas of multi-disciplinary work, with a view towards developing larger funding proposals.

Three pump-priming awards of up to £20K each will be available over the next two years. We are currently invitingapplications for the first of these awards.Although the awards are intended for non-staff costs,

EMBRACE has three Fellows (one in each faculty) who will contribute significantly to any project in receipt of an award. As such,applicants will need to contact one or more of the Fellows to discuss the application and their potential role.
