Final year or first year, part-time student or PhD; the Careers Service is here for you.

Finding a job or internship can be difficult; trying to balance your studies with working out what you want to do and how to get there is no easy task. That’s where we come in. The Careers Service is open all year round, even in vacation time, and your success is our goal.

The beginning of the year for most students means assessment centres and rounds of daunting interviews. We have a range of services that can help, from practice test books to help you nail those case studies, to one-to-one mock interviews to ease the nerves. Take a look at all the services we offer:

Helping Yourself

That’s why we’ve put together useful resources available to take away from our Information Room on Level 5 of the Sherfield Building, not to mention sector-specific guides to careers including IT and Tech, City and Finance, Management Consultancy and Law.

Come and visit our useful library of careers books, including practice exercises for psychometric tests, guides to assessment centres, and presentation tips. We also keep records of company information, including brochures, interview feedback and reports from our visits to some of the biggest and best employers. The Careers Service Information team is always on hand to answer any of your questions – just stop by the front desk and we can point you in the right direction. We’re open from 10:00 to 17:15, Monday to Friday.

No time to visit the Careers Service in person? We’ve got loads of information on our website; handouts, videos, information on last year’s graduates and on working abroad, alongside occupational information from accountancy to veterinary care.
