Professor Phillip Geyer gives a talk in the Centre for Systems Engineering & Innovation Lecture Series
On Wednesday 10 February 2016, The Centre for Systems Engineering & Innovation welcomed Professor Phillip Geyer, from Department of Architecture within the Faculty of Engineering Science of the KU Leuven to give a talk in the Centre's Lecture Series.
In his talk "Systems Engineering for a Sustainable Built Environment" Phillip discussed how climate change and a shortness in resources is a major challenges for a sustainable built environment. Looking at the social, environmental and ecomomic factors which affect sustaniability, Phillip discussed, amongst other things, the requirements for energy efficiency, resource economy, reduction of emissions, social and econmic factors etc. A full abstract of Phillip's talk can be found here.
