Dr Raheelah Ahmad to present findings of Health Foundation report at conference

The conference provides a practical guide to improving practice & monitoring compliance against the newly released national quality standard in HCAI

Dr Raheelah Ahmad, Health Management Lead at the Health Protection Research Unit’s (HPRU) has been invited to present a talk at the conference which provides a practical guide to improving practice and monitoring compliance against the NEW National Quality Standard for Healthcare Associated Infections: Prevention and Management which has recently been released.

Dr Ahmad will be speaking about how organisational change can support infection control, presenting findings from the Health Foundation report that she contributed to and research at HPRU following on from this.

Speakers also include Professor Jonathon Cooke, visiting professor at Imperial College who will be giving a presentation about ‘Interventions to improve Antimicrobial prescribing in hospital care: what works?’.

Through National Updates from specialist advisors to the HAI Quality Standard, extended in-depth sessions and practical case studies the conference will look at implementing the national quality standard.
