Are you an innovator seeking to drive improvement and excellence in global healthcare?

If so, then we invite you to participate in the Innovation Showcase Competition for a chance to demonstrate your work in front of more than 1,000 global experts at the World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH) 2016 in Doha, Qatar from 29th to 30th November.

WISH, an initiative of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF) and in partnership with Imperial’s Institute of Global Health Innovation (IGHI), is a global healthcare community dedicated to capturing and disseminating the best evidence-based ideas in healthcare, providing global solutions that will save both lives and much needed resources. 

Applying to be an Innovation Showcase at WISH will give you an opportunity to share your healthcare innovation with the most influential health experts and decision makers from around the world. You will join the WISH network which will help promote the uptake of your innovation and meet contacts with whom you could partner or share your experiences.

The Innovation Showcase Gallery will feature some of the world’s most exciting healthcare innovations ranging from practical devices to business models and design-based solutions.

The Showcases will be selected by the Professor the Lord Ara Darzi, Director of IGHI and Executive Chair of WISH and the WISH Innovation Showcases curation team. In particular, Lord Darzi will be looking for truly unique innovations which are frugal, address a global healthcare challenge and have the potential to impact significantly health outcomes and quality of care. Fully developed projects in any field relevant to healthcare innovation are eligible.

WISH will cover travel and accommodation expenses for selected showcase during the Summit.

If selected, you will be asked to work with the WISH team in the run up to the event in 2016. WISH’s design team will do the majority of the legwork and liaise closely with you to showcase and display your innovation in an engaging and exciting format.

You would need to be available to stay in Doha from the 28th-30th November 2016.  This time includes the set-up of the Innovation Showcases Gallery and the WISH Summit.

In order to be considered, innovators are kindly requested to complete the questionnaire on the WISH website and submit their application directly to the WISH team.

The deadline for applications is 27 May 2016.
