Dr David Hight elected Fellow of the Royal Society
The Department would like to congratulate alumnus Dr David Hight who was recently elected Fellow of the Royal Society (FRS).
Dr Hight FRENG FRS, is currently a Senior Consultant and Founding Director of the Geotechnical Consulting Group.
He was a Lecturer in the Department between 1975 and 1983, and has been Visiting Professor at Imperial College (1993-2012), at the National University of Singapore (2000) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1983). He was elected to the Royal Academy of Engineering in 2001.
Dr Hight joins a Fellowship of many of the world's most eminent scientists in one of the oldest scientific academies, which has played a part in some of the most fundamental, significant, and life-changing discoveries in scientific history.
