Dr Gwen Knight visited Highgate School to inspire the next generation

Dr Gwen Knight, Career Development Fellow at the NIHR Health Protection Research Unit in Healthcare Associated Infection and Antimicrobial Resistance recently visited Highgate School to give a talk to Year 10 pupils about "How numbers can stop Ebola".

Dr Knight spoke about her work on infectious disease modelling and career opportunities from a degree in maths, saying that “a degree in Maths gives you endless career opportunities in this exciting time of big data and the global challenges of antimicrobial resistance”.
