Engineering subjects excel in league tables
Five engineering subjects have achieved first place in the Guardian university league table rankings published today.
Imperial tops the table in earth and marine sciences, mechanical engineering, aeronautics, civil engineering and general engineering, a category that reflects the bioengineering provision at the College.
The College’s overall ranking rises one place from last year up to sixth, while seven of eight engineering subjects have either improved or maintained their impressive positions.
The only subject to fall a place from last year is materials and minerals where Imperial is ranked third for 2017.
It is an impressive set of results for the Faculty as no subject ranks lower than fourth place, reinforcing the College’s position as one of the best places to study engineering in the UK.
