Where will JobsLive take you?

One-to one appointments, unmissable events, fantastic graduate jobs and summer internships - you can find it all on JobsLive.

As an Imperial College student, you’re already registered on JobsLive, the Careers Service’s system for all things careers – just log in with your Imperial username and password. Once you’ve graduated, you can re-register with an Alumni account for a further three years’ access.

Here’s how to make the most of your account:

Booking appointments

20 minute consultations are available every weekday, and can only be booked on the day you want to see someone. Booking is available from 7am on JobsLive – select ‘Appointments’ and then ‘Search and Book’ to see today’s available appointments. There are two main options – Careers Consultations and Internship Consultations. Both are 20 minutes long.

Either of these appointments are great if you have any quick queries, if you need to speak to someone that day or for CV or cover letter reviews.

We also offer longer 40 minute appointments for wider careers queries and planning – these are bookable only after you have been refered by a Careers Consultant from a 20 minute appointment.

Browsing events

The Careers Service run loads of events throughout the year, particularly from September to December, giving you a chance to meet, network and ask questions from some of the biggest graduate recruiters in the world.

With seminars, workshops, presentations, fairs and forums, the best way to keep up to date is to check JobsLive regularly – we list all our events (as well as events from external employers too) with times, venues and how to book. You can also view all the other events you’ve attended on JobsLive too. 

Search for jobs

JobsLive is also a tailored jobs board, with vacancies for:

• internships
• graduate roles
• part-time work
• studentships
• voluntary work

These employers are specifically looking for Imperial students and new vacancies are uploaded every day. It’s also a fantastic database of over 8,000 local and international employers, giving you a bit of inspiration on where to apply, from accountancy to transport. 

You can even get JobsLive to do the hard work for you; update your profile to receive daily or weekly digests of the best jobs for you, as well as our e-newsletter of all the upcoming events. Save the vacancies you’re interested in, and you’ll be reminded when the closing date is near.
