Dr Sara Boyd was awarded a prize for the best clinical case oral presentation at the British Infection Association
The NIHR Health Protection Research Unit in Healthcare Associated Infection and Antimicrobial Resistance is delighted to announce that Dr Sara Boyd, Clinical Research Fellow won a prize for the best clinical case oral presentation at the British Infection Association (BIA) Annual meeting, held in London on the 19th May 2016.
Dr Boyd was also successfully elected to the position of national BIA trainee representative for Infectious Diseases.
Her term of office on the BIA Council will extend for two years, during which time she will advocate for trainees at a number of professional committees, including both the Specialty Advisory Committee for Infectious Diseases and the Joint Committee for Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine. Dr Boyd is looking forward to representing the diversity of her colleagues’ views on their training in Infectious Diseases.
