The Australasian Society for Infectious Diseases (ASID) invited Professor Holmes to present at its Annual Scientific Meeting 2016 in April

The NIHR Health Protection Research Unit (HPRU) in Healthcare Associated Infection (HCAI) and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) is delighted to report that Professor Alison Holmes, Director at the NIHR HPRU in HCAI and AMR attended the Australasian Society for Infectious Diseases (ASID) Annual Scientific Meeting 2016 in Launceston, Australia in April.

Professor Holmes assisted with judging awards as well as giving presentations including the prestigious Macfarlane Burnet Oration entitled ‘AMR and HCAI in the real world: Perspectives from Health Protection Research’. The oration was a highlight for all attendees as indicated from the feedback from delgates.
