The Institute of Global Health Innovation’s Global Health Forum last month focused on the on-set and prevention of diabetes from a global context.
Speakers included Clinical Research Fellow in Imperial’s Department of Medicine, Dr Shivani Misra, who talked about her research into young on-set diabetes phenotypes around the world.
Dr John Tregoning, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Medicine at Imperial discussed the role of elevated airway glucose in diabetic lung infection and Dr Nick Oliver, Reader in Diabetes talked about the prevention of type 2 diabetes in India.
