The "Advances in Plastic Electronics" symposium was held on 9-10 May 2016, and featured invited talks by HKBU, CIAC and CPE academics.
Six professors from Hong Kong Baptist University and eight professors from the Changchun Institute for Applied Chemistry came to Imperial for the Advances in Plastic Electronics CPE symposium.
The Symposium took place on 9-10 May 2016, and included talks on OPV, synthesis, transistors, sensors, spintronics and bioelectronics. The symposium was a development of previous interactions between the academics from the CPE, HKBU and CIAC, but for the first time including all members of the CPE.
Congratulations to Dr Li Zhe on winning the poster prize, and to PE-CDT student Matt Dyson for winning the runner-up prize.
Many thanks to the PhD students and postdocs who conducted excellent lab tours for our visitors: Iain Hamilton, Minwon Suh, Simeng Wang, Hyojung Cha, Wenmin Xu, Li Xiaoe, James Bannock, Jiaying Wu, Becky Kilmurray and Bob Xu. Several of the visitors commented on how knowledgeable and informative their tour guides were.
Further interactions with HKBU and CIAC are planned, including a joint meeting proposed for December 2017 in Hong Kong. If you are planning collaborative projects with CIAC and/or HKBU, please let Steph know.
