Professor Sue Grimes has recently been promoted to Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management.
Fellowship of the CIWM recognises seniority and ongoing contribution at the highest level within the resource and waste management sector.
Candidates need to show evidence of distinguished professional attainment in the sphere of wastes management and are judged specifically in the areas of: innovatory work that makes a national contribution to waste management technology; high level academic research output in the field; service on national bodies, and committees at the interface of government and industry; significant contribution to education and training in wastes management; and service to the Institution.
